Another standout at Capsule has been the latest collection from British brand Orlebar Brown. Started by Adam Brown in 2007, it began with what one might consider traditional swim trunks, but which the label calls “Not a swim short but a ‘short you can swim in’”.
The pieces do evoke a multi-functionality — with a hiking to cliff diving or jet skiing to swimming type of versatility. And the shorts contain small design details (stitch, zipper, and buckle) that assure you of their quality craftmanship.
Some of what we saw at Capsule include an extension into polo shirts (made from terry cloth, very cool!), and a design collaboration with British firm Eley Kishimoto that produced shorts you surely won’t miss on the beach.
