When Maia Norman relaunched Mother of Pearl, her London-based women’s ready-to-wear line, in the summer of 2009, she did so with a clear vision. Norman resurrected the collection and transformed it into something tougher and sexier.
Norman’s Fall collection is urban and chic and playful at the same time. Filled with bold blocks of color and vivid prints, the designs are creative and unique but also perfectly wearable. Some of the prints from Fall 2011 were created in collaboration with British artist Keith Tyson, thus advancing the concept of wearable art.
