Review from Paris Fashion Week: Givenchy

While there have been a lot of great Spring collections at PFW, the one that really seemed to show a noted cohesion or advancement of the designer’s point of view was Givenchy. Fine, I’m a big fan of Riccardo Tisci… but he organically brought together a lot of the elements he had been showing over past seasons, and it all fit into place. As Style.com noted: “Men in skirts? Get used to them.” There were skirts, birds of paradise, paillettes, and some really well done suiting.

The mirrored effect with the birds of paradise is an effect Tisci has used before, and I really liked the color and pop it brought for Spring.

I also thought the simple color palette, green and white throughout, kept the whole collection clean and easy to connect to. I’ll definitely be in line for one of the green suits!
