Last week I received an invitation to Raphael Hauber’s show in Berlin Fashion week, and I was heartbroken that I could not attend—especially because I am moving to Berlin this fall. A couple days later I found myself even more forlorn when I was sent photographs of the incredible line after the show transpired. Composed of pieces exercising casual refinement, the new unisex collection utilizes draped fabrics often clad with geometric shapes or plaids in various hues of vivid pastels. Personally, I felt many of the patterns evoked Monet’s still life paintings. Though this is only his second collection, Hauber has already mastered a signature style and a sense of uniformity amongst his garments.
