Asher Levine’s New World Order

I loved how Asher Levine transported us into his world for his Fall/Winter 2012 presentation.   He wanted to “create an alternative world inspired by the process of creation” and that indeed he did with cool yet mysterious models,  inspring video installation and a Makerbot’s 3D Printer, The Replicator, which live-printed sunglasses the models were wearing…visionary!

In some ways the collection reminded me of  Captain Jack Harkness’s style from the British Sci-Fi TV show Torchwood – military meets the third dimension!  Sort of cool time traveller who discover new worlds and creatures…”Primal Utilitarian.”   I loved the mix of contemporary styling and retro silhouettes all made me want to see more… I cant wait to be transported  to Asher Levine’s world this Fall.
